We're looking for a Mobile Software Engineer who will be at the forefront of building and enhancing mobile applications that delight our users. This engineer will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying features that shape the future of our mobile products. From improving user experiences to tackling complex technical challenges, it work will have a meaningful impact. This person will also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our products evolve in alignment with our technological vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a talented team to drive mobile product goals, always keeping the best UX in mind.
  • Create, test, and maintain software with a focus on both qualitative and quantitative excellence.
  • Analyze challenges, design solutions, and develop software that meets team and business goals.
  • Fix bugs, resolve incidents, and proactively identify risks, helping maintain the stability and quality of our mobile products.
  • Mentor and support fellow engineers, promoting best practices and team collaboration.
  • Actively participate in team ceremonies and contribute to ongoing improvements in the technologies, processes, and best practices.
  • Actively document processes and review code to ensure quality and alignment with standards.
  • Troubleshoot bugs and incidents, helping prioritize and address issues.
  • Monitor the systems and services your team owns, staying ahead of performance and stability challenges.
  • Engage in early discussions on complex projects and help break down requirements into manageable tasks.
  • Pair program with teammates, offering hands-on guidance and support.
  • Work alongside tech leads and architects to evolve the system architecture.
  • Help onboard new team members, fostering a collaborative, inclusive team environment.

Position Requirements (Experience & Competencies)

  • Technical Expertise: 3+ years of experience as a mobile software engineer, with a solid foundation in computer science, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Mobile Development: Proven experience in building Android/iOS applications using Objective-C, Swift, Java, Kotlin, or Flutter, with a track record of regular app releases on Google Play/App Store.
  • Design & Architecture: Experience designing modular mobile applications, implementing persistence for offline usage, and optimizing app performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Skilled at integrating and designing APIs, and deploying/maintaining mobile applications in production.
  • Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting abilities, with experience in identifying root causes and considering non-functional requirements from the start.
