Purpose
The Treasury Analyst plays a critical role in managing and coordinating treasury operations to optimize cash flow, mitigate financial risks, and support the overall financial health of the organization. By overseeing cash management, monitoring banking activities, and providing strategic guidance, this position contributes to the efficient utilization of financial resources and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. The Treasury Analyst also supports decision-making processes, identifies areas for improvement, and helps drive the implementation of treasury strategies that contribute to the successful achievement of the team goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily cash flow activities, including monitoring cash balances, execution of daily payments.
- Process payments to suppliers and clients in a timely and accurate manner.
- Support the preparation of cash flow forecasts to ensure the proper liquidity planning.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to Treasury operations.
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are solved.
- Conduct financial analysis to assess liquidity, identify potential risks, and recommend appropriate actions to optimize cash flow.
- Oversee the administration of corporate credit cards, including monitoring usage, reconciling statements, and ensuring compliance with policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support capital expenditure planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of treasury policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes related to treasury management.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in treasury management or a related financial role.
- Strong knowledge of cash management principles, financial analysis, and risk assessment.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel is essential.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.
- Strong understanding of internal controls and risk management in treasury operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
