As a Staff Engineer, you'll be part of our dynamic team driving innovation in the Kueski Pay product, revolutionizing Buy Now Pay Later solutions for both e-commerce and fiscal retail stores. With 6 diverse squads and over 20 engineers, this tribe is a powerhouse of creativity and collaboration. Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to the engineering team.
- Drive the design and implementation of complex systems and features, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Participate in architectural discussions and decisions, proposing solutions that align with business goals and technical requirements.
- Contribute to the evolution of the overall system architecture.
- Conduct thorough code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and junior engineers.
- Champion coding standards, best practices, and development processes.
- Analyze complex technical problems, develop innovative solutions, and troubleshoot issues in production environments.
- Mentor and coach engineers, fostering their professional growth and technical skills.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Contribute to project planning, scope estimation, and timelines.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide progress updates and manage expectations.
- Oversee the merchant integration process to seamlessly incorporate Kueski as a preferred payment method, ensuring a smooth transition and setup for all new merchants.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven track record of technical leadership, including guiding teams in designing and implementing complex systems.
- Expertise in architecture and design, with the ability to propose solutions aligned with business goals and technical requirements.
- Proficiency in conducting code reviews, enforcing coding standards, and promoting best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop innovative solutions.
- Experience mentoring and coaching engineers, fostering their professional growth and technical skills.
- Excellent collaboration skills, working effectively with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and QA engineers.
- Continuous learning mindset, staying updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively and provide progress updates to stakeholders.
