The Role
The Business Lending Manager is the key person to drive transformative and continuous improvement projects of Lending at CLIP. On a daily basis, there will be significant interaction with the product, technology, data, finance, and credit departments.
His/Her main responsibilities are related to driving and delivering projects efficiently and with high quality. The primary challenge will be the transformation projects of the Core Lending, which involves a complex roadmap with multiple simultaneous fronts of action.

What will I be doing?
- Identify Opportunities and Issues in Project Execution:
- Continuously assess project performance, identifying areas of improvement, potential risks, and opportunities for optimization.
- Proactively address any challenges or roadblocks that may arise, ensuring timely resolution.
- Manage and Control the Roadmap and Demands:
- Oversee the project timeline, setting realistic milestones and ensuring projects remain on schedule.
- Track and prioritize project demands, managing resources effectively to meet deadlines.
- Initiate, Lead, and Support Project Fronts:
- Take ownership of the initiation of new project phases or fronts, ensuring all necessary resources and support are in place.
- Provide leadership and direction to project teams, ensuring alignment with the overall project vision and goals.
- Decisions:
- Ensure clear decision-making processes are followed, providing necessary guidance to all parties involved.
- Manage and prioritize decisions based on the project’s objectives, risk management, and stakeholder expectations.
- Ensure Alignment Among Stakeholders:
- Foster open communication and collaboration among all project stakeholders to ensure alignment of expectations and objectives.
- Regularly update stakeholders on project status, risks, and progress, ensuring transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Continuously Assess the Need for Changes:
- Monitor the project’s progress and evaluate any changes that may be necessary to meet evolving business needs.
- Lead the change management process, collaborating with teams to ensure successful integration of any changes.
- Create and Update Materials and Reports:
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, presentations, and status updates.
- Ensure all materials are up to date, accurate, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or a related field (MBA or advanced degree is a plus).
- +5 years of experience as a Business Leader, PO, or PM, preferably in Fintechs or traditional Banking industry.
- Experience in managing complex projects (with multiple areas of operation).
- Knowledge of lending products (product management) credit risk management, underwriting, and regulatory compliance in the Mexican market (preferable).
- Experience with cloud services projects
Technical:
- Project methodologies (waterfall and agile using Kanban and Scrum);
- Knowledge of project control and presentation tools (Jira, Google Docs, Presentations)
- KPI and OKR analysis
- Strong knowledge of credit products (loans, debt restructuring, credit limits)
- Basic understanding of credit product accounting.
