Role

We are looking for an Android Developer to be part of this amazing and fast – growing fintech and who will be part of the team responsible for software and tools to support and implement Pay Clip’s core payment processing infrastructure. S/He will develop and experiment programs with different technologies. This person will be willing to experiment with new technologies to reach Clip customers, the role includes in the scope becoming the experts on content usage and customer insights. The successful candidate will have experience working with Java, Android, software development, Git, Kotlin, Web services and Agile methodologies. S/he should thrive in a culture of decisions based on analytics, be able to step-back and communicate both the strategic and immediate implications on priorities. This candidate must have strong written and verbal communications skills in both English and Spanish and be willing to continue learning and loving technology.

1. Architect and build Android apps.
2. Define and maintain code quality.
3. Ensure apps are performant and reliable.
4. Identify and fix bugs.
5. Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features.
6. Contribute to improvements in process and infrastructure.
7. Learn and share new things.

Ideal Candidate

1. Computer Science or equivalent experience.
2. 3+ years with Java, Android, software development, Git, Kotlin.
3. 2+ Experience with Agile methodologies.
4. Proficient knowledge of Java and Android.
5. Familiar with Kotlin.
6. Solid understanding software patterns in Android.
7. Experience with Material design principles and philosophies.
8. Solid knowledge of git.
9. Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills.
10. Strong desire to learn and grow.
