The Role

We're hiring a dynamic senior leader for our Ecommerce Sales Leadership team. In this role, you'll oversee managers, drive growth and scale our Checkout Platform in Mexico. We are looking for a rockstar who would like to be part of this amazing fast-growing Fintech as a Ecommerce Director - Checkout Platform.

What will I be doing

  • Lead a senior, experienced team of Sr Sales Team Managers and their teams of Sales Executives for scale the Checkout Platform in the market.
  • Develop the long-term vision and strategy for growing the team and scale day-to-day operations.
  • Adopt and influence the company's sales methodology/process and drive best practices on selling and forecasting.
  • Lead internal teams to deliver results, especially the development of new solutions, improvements and prioritizations
  • Develop best practices that enable the organization to scale more rapidly to deliver on revenue targets and support KPIs for growth.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to product and engineering teams, delivering critical business insights and launching strategic initiatives.
  • Proactively recommend payment solutions that support payment innovation and optimization.
  • Research emerging trends / best practices to determine implications of proposed payment solutions.
  • Stay updated on the digital payments landscape, such as mobile wallets, digital wallets, open banking, tokenization and bank payments to identify potential partnerships
  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes
  • Relationships in the payments industry are important (suppliers, customers and partners)
  • Monitoring and influencing industry-wide payments change activities and successfully managing those changes internally
  • Write business cases for new initiatives.
  • Manage cross-functional teams to identify and creatively solve complex operational, regulatory, and legal issues.
  • Structure complex agreements that include custom commercials, technical integrations, data protection and privacy.
  • Engage with the largest strategic opportunities, leading executive relationships and helping the team win new customers.
  • Help teams choose and sequence the best partners for our products.
  • Supervise and drive decision-making on all agreement mechanics.
  • Ability to travel from 10%-30% depending on project status.
  • Partner cross-functionally across different teams (e.g., Marketing, Product, Partnerships, Account Management, SDR), regionally and globally

Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • +15 years of payments experience in product, partnerships and business development, or equivalent.
  • +8 years of experience with emphasis on B2B Sales, specifically building and managing External Channels and Partnerships to commercialize acquiring products / ecommerce platforms or solutions.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience leading and executing complex strategic and operational initiatives for organizations.
  • Experience with ambiguity and ability to work in a fast-changing environment, with an entrepreneurial approach.
  • Proficiency in negotiation, business development, client relationship management, consulting services, and project management are required.
  • Self-directed, driven and motivated with demonstrated analytical, negotiation and business development skills.
  • Is mandatory experience within payments and ecommerce platform, checkout, plugin, API integrations, fintech, and/or financial service industries (at least +10 years)
  • Experience in Payments experience with digital merchants.
  • Understanding and experience in the Latam Markets.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional communication skills and relationship building experience with technical teams, lawyers, and marketers.
  • Experience with payments and technology products.
  • Experience working for an ecommerce platform.
  • Experience in hunting, sales methodology, sales process, funnel and pipeline
  • Experience of working with operations from scratch
  • Experience in maintaining the most senior executive relationships at significant medium and large prospects and helping close those deals.
  • Data-driven in making decisions, setting goals, and driving success in the organization while embracing 'hands-on' sales and qualitative success metrics.
  • Creativity to work in complex scenarios
  • Excels at developing business strategies and ensuring flawless execution.
  • Proven experience in working on a matrix organization and feels comfortable with it.
  • Proven experience on building and managing multiple projects and driving results in a timely manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, C-level executives and third parties
  • Being proactive and having a strong sense of accountability and ownership of Clip Digital Payments business.
