Purpose of the Job:

We are looking for a Sr. Backend Developer who will be part of this amazing and fast – growing fintech and the team responsible for software and tools to support and implement PayClip’s core payment processing infrastructure. S/He will develop and experiment programs with different technologies.

This person will be willing to experiment with new technologies to reach Clip customers, the role includes in the scope becoming the experts on content usage and customer insights. The successful candidate will have experience working with Java 8/11, AWS, Kotlin or Node, Unit Testing, Maven, Rabbit MQ, Design Patterns, SQL MySQL and Agile Methodology. S/he should thrive in a culture of decisions based on analytics, be able to step-back and communicate both the strategic and immediate implications on priorities. This candidate must have strong written and verbal communications skills in both English and Spanish and be willing to continue learning and loving technology.

Key Responsibilities

1. Work as part of a team developing in Java using Agile development methods.
2. Contribute to team and organizational improvements in process and infrastructure.
3. Work with the team and Chief Architect to design and build services for payment processing.
4. Effectively use tools and ingenuity to identify and fix defects before they become a problem.
5. Invent new things and create world-changing software!.

Education Level & Work Experience

Computer Science or equivalent experience

3+ years of experience working preferably with Java , Kotlin or Node

* Position can be located in Argentina or Mexico, on Hybrid mode (60% Remote, 40% Office) *
