As a DevOps professional at Aprende Institute, you will play a crucial role in constructing and upkeeping our infrastructure, enhancing and automating CI/CD pipelines, ensuring the security of our environment and workloads, and monitoring our processes. You will collaborate closely with our DevOps lead, Director of Product, CTO, and other key stakeholders. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of essential tasks that contribute to the overall success of our organization.

Your responsibilities as a DevOps professional will include:

• AWS Services: Effectively managing and administering various AWS services used by the organization, ensuring their security, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

• Secure Infrastructure: Developing secure infrastructure configurations, including network architecture, access controls, and data storage, to protect sensitive information.

• Secure Development Practices: Promoting and enforcing secure coding practices, conducting code reviews, and implementing security testing tools and techniques throughout the development lifecycle.

• Implementing Incident Response and Monitoring: Establishing incident response procedures and monitoring systems to promptly detect and respond to security incidents or breaches.

• Implementing Vulnerability Management: Identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities through regular vulnerability assessments, and implementing appropriate remediation measures.

• Applications Performance: Optimizing the performance of all applications by selecting and provisioning the appropriate resources, such as servers, databases, and caching mechanisms.

• CI/CD Pipeline: Implementing automation tools and processes to streamline and enhance the Continuous Delivery/Continuous Integration (CI/CD) pipeline, enabling efficient software deployment for several different applications and environments

• Tiered Environments: Setting up and maintaining separate development and production environments as required for each application, ensuring they are properly configured and secured.

• Facilitating Testing Environments: Provisioning and managing dedicated testing environments to support the testing and quality assurance processes, ensuring they closely resemble the production environment.

• Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience as a DevOps/DevSecOps.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with AWS environments.
• Minimum of +1 years experience with Terraform.
• Experience with scripting (bash, YAML).
• Experience working on Linux environments.
• Experience with MySQL and RDS based databases
• Advanced level of English. - We have US, Mexico, and Colombia-based teams and vendors.
• Working knowledge of Moodle LMS (nice to have)
